Bob Bass is the first American to get a coral belt in history. This accomplishment alone would be jaw-dropping to have is your main instructor at a jiu-jitsu school. But that’s just the start of it. Professor Bass is the 1995 world champion. He also beat the consensus world’s best jiu-jitsu practitioner in 1994 and 1995. Bob is also the first American to get his black belt under the iconic Machado Brazilian jiu-jitsu family. With a wrestling background and dominating the high school scene in Southern California in the late 70s and early 80s Bob is simply described as a living legend of grappling. Come enjoy his classes on Mondays and Tuesdays. Or book a private lesson with this encyclopedia of jiu-jitsu. If you have an opportunity to work with this martial art, genius, you better jump at the chance. Bob has forgotten more about jiu-jitsu than anyone else will ever know. And yet he still knows things that other masters drop their jaws at due to his grappling IQ. That’s how much of an encyclopedia of knowledge that he is, he coaches the other coaches.

Sean is one of the original South Bay jiu-jitsu members from the very first location back in the day. Remember South Beach jiu-jitsu has been around for almost 30 years. At the turn of the millennia Sean started training with Bob Bass and quickly excelled to be one of the premier Submission specialist in the professional fighting world. People were so scared to go to the ground with Sean that it gave him the opportunity to showcase his stand-up boxing and Muay Thai skills. So he started knocking out everyone that he fought. He has multiple knockouts over former UFC and Bellator contenders. He amassed a professional MMA record of 35-5 with an undefeated amateur record. A professional boxing record of 8-1 with all knockouts and 63 amateur bouts. As well as competing professionally in grappling, Muay Thai, as well as other combat sports. In fact “The Destroyer” has 192 fights. Coach Sean has a plethora of martial arts knowledge and owns gyms throughout California. He also manages an unthinkable amount of high-level athletes. He teaches every Wednesday and it will be a shame to miss his class.
